Training a puppy can be daunting especially if you have never had a dog before!

There is so much to teach that if taught incorrectly could cause more problems in the long term.

Awesome Pawz dog trainer uses positive, ethical training and we work with Owners as well as their dogs to pass on our expertise.

Awesome Pawz works with transparency, honesty and always in the best interest of the animals welfare. If for whatever reason, Awesome Pawz can not be of any help they will always point you to another suitable and relevant professional that they believe will be the best option for the animal i.e. Vet, Dog Nurtritionist etc.

Training will be delivered by Awesome Pawz initially then we will ask the owner to ‘have a go’ whilst we offer feedback to the owner. Awesome Pawz by no means will be derogatory or rude in their feedback! After all we both want what’s best for your fur baby!

Once your training session has ended, Awesome Pawz will leave you with ‘homework’ to complete between sessions which works on training the animal and building that much needed and loved bond between you both!

You may feel you need some extra guidance or have some questions after a session and Awesome Pawz will be there for you no matter when you need us! We do still need to have our own downtime, eat, sleep etc so don’t expect a response at 3am but Awesome Pawz will get back to any messages outside of normal hours ASAP (normally within 48 hours)

Awesome Pawz will always keep clients up to date with when they will be on holidays so that no one feels like they are being ignored … That’s the last thing we want you to feel!

Awesome Pawz specialises in the nervous, anxious, reactive and elderly pooches along with those who will stand on the table and let you groom them 🤞

Nervous , Anxious and reactive dogs are misunderstood by many many groomers and are labelled as aggressive when in fact they are just scared 😢

Awesome Pawz understands that their methods are not ideal for everyone and won’t be offended if you say they aren’t for you. 

Awesome Pawz will spend a lot of time on the first appointment with you and your dog getting to know you both, what you like and don’t like. They ask lots of questions and give you a little bit of background on themselves.

Awesome Pawz will explain everything that they do or will need to do if and when we get to them points, for example; your pooch hates their feet being groomed and is fighting with me, we will explain the next steps taken to ensure that your fur baby is safe and free from any potential injury or any potential injury to themselves before they continue with the groom.

Everything Awesome Pawz does is very calm, soft and light touches and in the best interest of your dog and yourself.

Awesome Pawz is very focused on reading your pooch too which is something they don’t  go into much detail and explain/teach in grooming school! This comes with experience and spending time with various breeds, aggressive dogs, anxious dogs etc.

Awesome Pawz grooms in your home/garage/shed etc for the following reasons;

1) pet is more comfortable and at ease

2) pet can have regular breaks if needed - more for nervous and anxious dogs, elderly or puppies

3) the pet parent can see how the dog behaves and how they are treated from start to finish

Awesome Pawz is always conscious and respectful of your home and tries to leave you with as little cleaning to do as possible which is another bonus clients love about us!

As mentioned before, the service offered is very pet centred with the added bonus of no distractions from other dogs, driers etc that would be in a grooming salon.

You can say if you are happy with something or not throughout the groom and we always check what you want doing exactly as we go throughout your appointment.
